Where is Avatar’s trailer?

Rumours about a possible problem with the trailer of the long awaited James Cameron production Avatar have been finally denied by the director himself.

After many speculations about eight rejected trailer variations Cameron officially announced:” I have no idea where that came from but I haven’t rejected any trailers (yet) since I haven’t seen any yet. They’re still working on them for presentation, which presumably will be soon.”

Movie fans all over the world have been waiting for years to see Avatar which promises to be THE film event of 2009.

When Cameron started filming Avatar couple of years ago he promised that his new project is going to change our film perception. At the time no one could imagine what he was actually talking about. Soon we’ll be able to see it. The official release date is 18th December.

What do we know so far?
Avatar is the film with the longest post-production period in history – more than two and a half years. It has a supposed budget between $250-300 Million. In comparison Spiderman 3 cost $200 Million. James Cameron is the director, screen writer and co-producer of Avatar and Fox studios are the main investors.

Cameron and his crew have created a new revolutionary motion capturing method and special cameras that convert live action pictures into 3D dimension and Avatar will be the first film created that way. The director explains that it will be like seeing from an Alien perspective.

Avatar is supposed to be a sci-fi film about “a wounded ex-marine, thrust unwillingly into an effort to settle and exploit an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, who eventually crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival.” This is the only known synopsis of the film (published on IMDB.com).
